“By the breath of God ice is given, and the broad waters are frozen fast.” Job 37:9-10
Whether or not we are frozen in February, Lay Weeders will be planning for fire. A yearly application to the EPA, followed by a visit to the Worthington Fire Department, set up the burning of the Prairie Garden and parking lot grasses in early March.
Meanwhile, FLOWERS WILL BLOOM IN FEBRUARY on the witchhazels on either side of the pathway through the churchyard. Look for tiny orange and brown blossoms on those tall shrubs – and for snowdrops in the grass.
Think ahead! Would you like to spend more time enjoying nature this year? Especially when you can do it with a great group of people AND be of service to St. John’s? All are possible when you spend a Saturday afternoon with the Lay Weeders.
Schedule of Saturdays coming soon!
