Altar Rail Gate Changes

The Altar rail gate has developed both a gap between the two parts of the gate and a dip in the gate. The weaker the rail gate gets, the more likely it is that the gate may fail when someone leans on it, and someone will fall through and be hurt. We want to keep everyone safe, so we will no longer be closing the rail gate. We encourage those who wish to kneel at the Altar rail while receiving Communion, to step to either side of the rail opening to kneel. Those who prefer to stand while receiving Communion, may stand in front of the rail opening or on either side. If you have any questions about the rail gate, please speak to Lisa Graupmann.
