This past November, six St. Johns Network members joined members from 44 other congregations at the BREAD Annual Assembly, held this year at Christ the King Catholic Church. We heard presentations and testimony from other members about how some very important issues affected them or their family members. Then, all members present were able to vote on which issue BREAD will address in 2024. The winner was housing! It was uplifting to be among so many other persons of faith who were concerned about issues of social justice and were willing to stand together to face the issues and try to make a difference in our communities.
Interested in BREAD? Our Network members will be hosting our parish’s Annual Network meeting at St. Johns in the Atrium on February 24, 2024 from 2-4 p.m.. All are welcome as we eat snacks, catch up with each other, receive updates on the BREAD issues, and start to plan for our parish’s participation in the Nehemiah Action in May. Hope to see you there!
